Bartow County native Leslie Vaughan Simmons earned her B.S. in Chemistry in 1995 from the Georgia Institute of Technology and her J.D. in 2000 from the Georgia State University College of Law. While in law school Leslie worked for a real estate closing firm. After law school, she began her legal career as law clerk to the Superior Court Judges of the Cherokee Judicial Circuit. In that capacity, Leslie became intimately familiar with adoption proceedings. She worked part-time for a local litigation firm and opened her own law practice in 2003. Since that time, she has mediated hundreds of cases and represented clients in adoptions, domestic, probate and real estate matters. Leslie specializes in Real Property transactions; however, she is passionate about adoptions and has become a local expert in Adoption Law.
Leslie is admitted to practice law in the State of Georgia and is a member of the Cartersville-Bartow County Bar Association, the State Bar of Georgia. She is an Ambassador for the Cartersville-Bartow County Chamber of Commerce and volunteers at her church. She and her husband, Robby, live in Rydal with their three children. Leslie supports the Bartow Family Resource Center.
